Vindy reports that he left a note apologizing for the things he’s done. So he did it and the victims are telling the truth.

How easy liemonger, to discredit the guy who came forward, he had the courage to reveal his identity, which wasn't necessary. You hide and throw shots behind a screen with your misery pack of Pukes. Are you jealous of the settlement money, or jealous because Brother Steve didn't touch you? Tough girl? That would be an overmatch for you. Coward.

Liemonger, I am absolutely no tough guy or tough girl, I've had my butt kicked more times than I can count but.. at least I never picked on or heckled, mocked or critsized a victim as you did on this story. You are pathetic. As big as a coward as any.

Our hearts are with the brave victims, and they are to be commended for having the courage to speak up and take action to expose the truth. This is not an easy thing to do, especially now that Bro Baker has committed suicide. It can be an emotional roller coaster, some may feel relief that he can not longer harm another child, and yet some may feel cheated because they will never see him behind bars for his crimes.

But hopefully anyone who has knowledge or may have been harmed by Brother Stephen Baker or anyone within this diocese, will have the courage to come forward and contact the police and get help. Also keep in mind your silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.

Where is the proof? I could say someone did something to me does that make it so? I think most of this is just for a free ride.

Maybe because it's Sunday and I just came form church, I'm looking at things a little more philosophically, a little more sympathetically, but I just can't dump all over a man who is already dead, who took his own life out of shame, pain and guilt. No judge or jury could have given him a harsher sentence than that.

Anyone who thinks this man didn't pay for his crimes, ask yourself how much mental anguish you would have to be in before committing suicide, much less with a knife, which is neither quick nor painless. This man paid an enormous price, a self-inflicted enormous price. I feel terrible for the victims, but I also feel bad for this man, and I especially feel bad for his family. They had nothing to do with it, but they'll be living with this all of their lives also. "What could we have done to help him, what did we do wrong that caused him to be a pedophile?" It's not their fault, but they'll pay for it too.

4 Seasons: What planet are you on? These events occurred over 20 years ago. CSB was first notified of this a few years ago, well past majority age of the victims and well past the statute of limitations. CSB had NOTHING to do! Why would you and Feather drag them into this??? Your drivel makes no sense! Joe--you are beyond hope!

This pedeophilic homo is dead, plain and simple. He is not in heaven, being absolved by God after asking for forgiveness. What kind of sick god can forgive a crime against a child?

Baker is not in hell, being brutalized by a fallen angel (the devil), that is superstitious wishful thinking. What kind of sick god creates a place called hell?

This predatory animal is dead plain and simple. No God,no Devil, no forgiveness and no justice for the victims.

This whole thing, from start to finish, is sad beyond words. There are no winners, only losers.

I'm reminded of something I learned many years ago: First, there is no right way to do a wrong thing. Just because you have the opportunity to do it, and you think you'll never get caught, if it's wrong, don't. It will come back to bite you.And second, always, always, think before you act. If you need help, get help, but don't do something that may eventually ruin so many lives. How very, very sad for all involved.

How can anyone write about an already disgusting and disturbing situation and then insult the victims by insinuating that the victims are at fault? That is exactly why these people are victims; because the abusers convince their victims that it is their fault and now, all these years later when the actions are made public, some people perpetuate the abuse all over again with blame. By the way, I also know one of the victims and to say that if he had been a football player things would be different is a load of crap. Penn State, people, Penn State.

I'm told,Baker's acts were confined to the Baseball team. Actually, the Youngstown Diocese is forced to take the hit because of the baseball team at the time.

Pray for the "repose of his soul", Bishop? OK, what does the Catholic Church say about the repository of the soul of one who commits suicide? "Follow the example of Jesus Christ", Father? OK, what did Jesus say should happen to those who abuse children? There's something about placing a large millstone around their neck and tossing them into the sea. Check out Matthew 18:6. Eradicate the pedophilia and denial in your midst, padres.

Intrigued, I take part of that back, the guy I know would pulverize Jo, mr.Mr, and liemonger all at once. It makes sniveling little cowards like these feel good making ignorant comments about others. Maybe they were victims of similar acts, or just like to feast on the unfortunate from of course afar. Pukes!

Joeisback is one of those people who are jealous that victims received settlement. I agree that there are more than likely several that aren't entitled but so what? Joeisback would never in a million years have the nerve to make that comment to any of the victims face to face. I happen to know one of the people who was molested, he would pulverize lil jo-Jo.

The fact that Brother Steve ended his life should speak volumes. This should only validate the accusations. An innocent person wouldn't have gone to this extreme. He should have been yelling his innocence from the rooftops!

"joeisback" how can you be so ignorant? You call Mr. Munno a "pee pee head," real mature. You just showed what kind of "pee pee head" you are.

To anyone who thinks that what this man did was about sex, think again..its about control, intimidation, power over the young men to make or break their futures..and it is about more than victimizing high school boys; it's also the impact it has on their families, their relationships and their ability to cope with such an awful knowledge of feeling alone. Thank God for those who went public..It IS NOT about the money..and it is terrible that this man chose the easy way out rather than let his victims have some resolution in court or in public. Some of you should think before you speak...the most prolific of predators are married men..churches just get the most news because of the contrast of teachings vs. behavior.
