This woman should have been held until AFTER her trial! Medicated or not she should not be free until judged by a jury of her peers.

Stabbed her grandma? That's all I needed to hear to conclude the woman is crazy.

That's not good. Now, her kids are at risk and have an extreme potential for harm to be done to them. Ugh!

Perfect example of someone who should be kept away from society ! She should be locked up permanently ... What's going to keep her from walking in a school or attacking someone else...Nothing!!!

We need more mental health control and not gun control. I pray this does not turn out badly.

If she was a male, she'd be in jail for a hundred years.

If she saw green snakes and vampires, it's because of the drugs. She's not crazy(insane). The court found her able to stand trial, so crazy she's not. Her children need to be under contant watch, especially when she has visitation with them. Personally, I think she needs to stay locked up and held acountable for her actions toward her grandmother. No drugs for medicating, either. People with drug problems need to be treated drug free. It's the drugs that keep them dependent.

If it were not for the 1968 Gun Control Act this woman would be free to walk right into Gander Mountain and buy herself a new AR15 Bushmaster. She can still walk into a gun show and walk out with a used one, or buy one listed by a private seller. Think about that everyone. This woman may be purchasing a AK47 ask we converse on these threads. Of course we sure don't need any intrusionsor infringements into our second amendment rights. HHMMMMMM

That is why I have ALWAYS said that we gun owners in the United States pay the price for the ability of a person like this to get a firearm and use it. We should support legal ways to prevent a person like her from EVER getting her hands on a firearm. That includes a method to prevent an otherwise careful and responsible gun owner from selling this lady a firearm because he doesn't know her history.

well, reallytiredofit, when someone is guilty of attempted murder and kidnapping, is seeing people as vampires and green goblins she needs to kill or maybe beat to death with her super duper vampire stick, the court allows drs to pump her full of meds, and then they throw her back out into the communities we live in after serving a 3 year stint at the nut ward....seems to me if you are ok with that then you will be ok living with the consequences of allowing that to happen in the first place.

your court system has just told you and your neighbors this woman is just okie dokie to be free after trying to kill an old lady she thought was a vampire.

this is our fault.

I agree with you reallytiredofit, but the paranoid will say the following, guaranteed: "Perhaps you're right, the mentally insane should not be allowed to have guns, BUT who adjudicates who is mentally insane? The GOVERNMENT! And I guarantee that one day, anyone and everyone who questions, opposes, or disagrees with our Big Brother government will be labeled INSANE!"

It's a no-win situation with some people. But good luck trying to convince them.

On another note, boy, this woman reminds me of my sister-in-law.

i mean, she used a knife for this attempted murder and her back up weapon was a handy dandy vampire killing stick. LOL!

how are you taking that to use as an example of wanting gun controls or restrictions of some kind placed on legal gun owners.

l.mao! the whackiness here never ends.

LOL!!! NO!

this woman should be in jail! IN JAIL!

she tried to kill someone by stabbing them to death!

she doesnt have to buy a gun, she can just kill a gun owner and steal theirs because she served only 3 YEARS for attempted murder....she already tried to kill someone already! LOL!

that guy in Newton, CT killed his mom, a family member, to get her guns. he had been denied buying them thru a background check! LOL he was on head meds at the time.

this woman already tried to murder a family member, her grandmother, is given some head medication and let free into our communities after only serving 3 years! LOL

i mean...hello?

putting restrictions on me isnt going to help out much when this lady who attempted killing someone already accidentally forgets her meds and thinks there is a vampire convention at the next batman movie release.

this will not be the 'end' of this story! I see very bad things happening in the future-Vampires now -maybe she will see Zombies coming after her next- let's hope they are not her children-or anyone else!

I've looked and looked unitedfortruth but I cannot find anywhere that I suggested putting any limitations on responsible gun owners. You are not listening . I want to put additional limitations on HER not you. I want her to be just as unable to buy a used AK47 as she currently is to buy a new one. I fail to see how that denies you any of your rights.

dosie...if the courts didnt allow a woman, who sees people as vampires and has attempted to murder them, out of jail and back into society we wouldn't even being having a discussion about how to keep a gun out of her hands only 3 years later.

basically, for attempted murder we make sure she goes to a few alcohol and drug meetings a week to keep her off the illegal drugs, give her some legal mental drugs to take, and send her on her way. have a nice day. :)

now, here you come wanting to figure out a way, thru the same legal system that let her go free, to keep a gun out of her hand....even though the weapon she used was a knife and she should be residing in a state correction facility.

you want to solve your fear of this, you got 2 options, either go buy your own ak47 to fight fire with fire..or start changing the legal system that allows this woman to be walking the street 3 years after trying to kill somebody.

before you start putting stricter laws about controls or restrictions on my law abiding neighbors, you people should first start making the laws stricter and punishment more severe on the people who commit these violent crimes.

only then will i give your ideas about putting restrictions of any kind on my law abiding neighbors.....before i completely dismiss them again.
