Well, Pooh, they will be spending their money on cigs and lotto tickets at the Circle K and buying groceries at the Save a Lot.

And yeah, sounds like a horrible generalization, but tell me I'm wrong. Tell me homeless people will be creating a demand for a green grocer or a craft beer store or fine dining or will be buying comic books or shopping at the Green Thumb or looking for a nice watch at Duma's.

These are the kinds of people we already have plenty of downtown. Sounds like the women and their at risk kids with special needs are like the folks in the Reeves, Warner and Buckeye high rises after a month of really bad luck.

And having all of those people around downtown hasn't jump started jack poop.

This is a joke. And if we had a real office of CD and a real non-development corp, this stuff wouldn't even be an option.

Really? Anyone who spends money pays taxes. And just where ARE these folks going to spend their money? Who is going to drive them to Rt 46 or the mall to spend their money? Their money will be spent where they live.

"in simple terms"....that has to be the dumbest response from the mayor.. That does NOT jumpstart people living in downtown.....they are not going to be taxpayers!! or spending money downtown!!!!!

Ok, either all of you are epic trolls or really massively tone deaf.

either way, that's where I learned to swim when I was a kid. Surprised the YW was still open at all.

Ah..... Yeah.... Housing for poor women and their kids with "special needs" is not downtown redevelopment. Not at all

This is going to bring more trouble to an area already having big problems, O well I guess its better to keep it in one place.
