Zenieth, if you don't like it here, you are welcome to leave. I don't believe anybody had you shackled to a pole.

signman, although I agree with most of what you stated, I don't understand all the hate for unions. I only have ever belonged to one for a total of one year in my 35 years of working but do see how the fall of unions came with a fall in wages, benefits, and job security. I wonder what most will do when they reach their late 60's and early 70's to maintain their standard of living due to no pensions, no health care (until ObammyCare) and no ability to pay for major expenses in their elderly years? Most union employees never use the union except for the the items mentioned above. There are bad employees everywhere regardless of union or not.

To few come to the conclusion that the area isn't worth investing in. Until a honest, humble approach is take by the state and local government, don't expect wonderful results. It's no secret that the area is a demented rat hole full of corruption and drugs ......... Not your typical market for business success. Oh yeah, gambling business! Fits right into our current image!

Even when there are people trying to do something in this valley there are too many people who cannot be positive about anything. The doom and gloom attitude, (and union mentality) is just another reason so few choose to bring business to the area.

Another classic "play it up" event. We all ready know that the majority of the "more lucrative" contracts will go to own of area contractors whom all ready have ties. Don't get me wrong as they will throw the left over "biscuits" our way. Get to "really know" the local people, these companies could case less about anything other than our money .....
