NoMoreCrap said: "It's almost like the Catholic Church breeds pedophiles."

USBlues Response: "And the inner city breeds criminals! "

This shows that Blues still defends these people and doesn't think that pedophiles that molest kids are criminals.

Warrensteel, your reaction is why people don't report. Denial is just as sick as the perpetrators. It happened. Just because you weren't doesn't make it false. It's sickening how many have been abused because of twisted allegiance to religious authorities.

I attended this school. This is a group of ppl that got together for the $$. Brother Steve was a Good Man and A Good Teacher. Was he overly friendly, Yes... Was he what he's accused of, I think not. He was the sports trainer and I believe he handled himself appropriately back then. As a student athlete, I used the whirlpool and his actions never warranted anything to me that these others claim. This is a small town and if this really happened, these boys would have told on him in 90 or 91 when it supposedly occured. This is a group capitalizing on the Catholic Diocese paying them off. Funny how the Statute of Limitations ran out before this ever came to light.

Why are you singling out Catholic religious? I graduated from Salem High School, a public high school, and a teacher there, Carl Bevington, was accused of sexually molesting boys. It took years to prove it, but he finally left. Look it up.

By your group's very name, you imply that only Catholic religious do these horrible things, but it's all over. By singling out Catholics, you are showing your prejudice and bigotry.

Because these brave victims came forward and took action, Franciscan Brother Stephen P. Baker's name has now been exposed. It is sad the statute of limitations for child sex crimes stops victims from having their day in court, and therefore child predators are able to continue in their jobs and have access to innocent children.

Bishop Murry is not following his own child protection policy which was established 10 years ago, Baker is not the only child predator who is still being protected and working in the Youngstown diocese.

For the full truth to be exposed within this diocese, there needs to be a grand jury investigation into how the Youngstown church officials handle reports of child sex abuse.

Let's hope that anyone who has been harmed by Baker or anyone in this diocese, will speak up and contact law enforcement no matter how long ago the abuse happened.

It's time for the children in the Youngstown area to be protected, instead of protecting those who sexually abuse them.
