FTA: Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus dismissed Obama's measures as "an executive power grab."

Thanks for completely missing the point, Pribeus.

NONE of this will make a bit of difference. It is not going to stop the criminal element from continuing on their marry war path. This is just a huge waste of money and, yes, it is a "power grab" Pahoot. I feel YOU have missed the point!

This is a power grab for gun cotrol, this a-hole did nothing about making it easier to force people with mental health issues get help, alot of these poeople think nothing is wrong with them. This is going to happen again and it will be Obama's fault.

"sealed the surveliance vidoes from Newtown."

I've been wondering about that. It's not like there's a pending criminal trial coming up or anything. This is a totally different kind of investigation and they've been suspiciously silent about everything.

I have a client who told me he had three apartments vacant in Newton the day of the shooting. His phone rang off the hook by people wanting to rent them that very day, offering 150-200% of his asking. They all had impeccable credit and financials, so he leased them. Turns out they're all anti-gun activists. And citizen victims of New Town.

We were totally disgusted with using the kids as stage props and reading "letters" with words and phrases well above the pay grade of the kids.

We were also disappointed that there was not more recognition of the inherent dangers of all "gun free zones" as the site of choice for evil killers - be it schools, churches, malls, or theaters.

We are also not sure where obama plans to get the $500 MILLION and what he really plans to do with it.

We sincerely hope that all our local school districts review the security of their own schools as to robust doors, secondary doors, admittance protocols, lockdown drills, profiling of non - conforming students and alumni to help identify security risks in advance, and, yes, resource officers and other trained personnel on site as their individual situations dictate.

This is no place for another "one size fits all" DC mandated plan. Offer suggestions and intelligence - yes. Make mandates for local districts - NO!

"sealed the surveliance vidoes from Newtown."

We have also wondered about that, and the lack of specific information as to whether a single weapon was responsible for all the fatalities or were there more than one weapon used.

It is a shame that we have a lack of trust in our governments and our news media.

ht to privacy.

He is usimg the doctors, the irs, the office of the attorney general, the police, the hospitals, the schools, and others to find out who the gun owners are. He also is allowing the attorney general to expand what it means to be mentally ill.

the EOs he signed today destroy more of your rights just like mine. Sad you are the one who supports it.

We will soon begin to hear about a massive increase in mental illness. The way the govt will define it now will be characteristics found in people who dont trust govt. Once they label gun owners....any gun owner....mentally ill they will then take their guns.

Its brilliant, but its illegal, evil, and sick.

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States."

"Every collectivist revolution rides in on a Trojan horse of "Emergency." It was a tactic of Lenin, Hitler, and Mussolini. In the collectivist sweep over a dozen minor countries of Europe, it was the cry of the men striving to get on horseback. And "Emergency" became the justification of the subsequent steps. This technique of creating emergency is the greatest achievement that demagoguery attains. The invasion of New Deal Collectivism was introduced by this same Trojan Horse."

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
