Afret...yes, I have. He is the complete opposite of talk softly but carry a big stick. His arrogance is embarrassing.

Also, so you know, im not anti govt, though I know it seems that way. Im anti criminality, anti theft of me and my neighbors, anti banker, anti debt, anti bribery, anti lying, anti secrets, anti war.....among others. The one thing about all of these is they are what is comimg from our govt anymore. When I look at any problem we face as citizens in this nation, they all have one commonality....govt involvement.

Just wanted to let you know.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama demanded on Monday that lawmakers raise the nation's $16.4 trillion federal debt limit quickly, warning that "Social Security benefits and veterans' checks will be delayed" if they don't and cautioning Republicans not to insist on concessions in exchange.

"They will not collect a ransom in exchange for not crashing the economy," he said at the final news conference of his first term. "The full faith and credit of the United States of America is not a bargaining chip. And they better decide quickly because time is running short."

this is from today...

From Sen. Obama’s Floor Speech, March 20, 2006: The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

"Obama called Republican talk of not raising the limit—of, in effect, not paying the country’s bills—“irresponsible” and “absurd.”

that is what obammy said yesterday.

Barack Obama July 2008 on the campaign trail -- "The problem is that the way Bush has done it in the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion from the first 42 presidents. No. 43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome. So we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back. $30,000 for every man woman and child. That's irresponsible, that's unpatriotic.'

well, now the debt is 16 trillion.

you are being lied to about GM.

at that point, the rest of the company will be bought up, pennies on the dollar, by countries like china.

i know....something like that would never happen.

the govtis allowing gm and the banks to give whacky car loans to anybody with a pulse....just like the housing market. when these people can bring that stock price back up to around 35-37 dollars a share, the govt and bankers will sell everything, thereby betting against the very company you think they are helping. just like in the housing market, they are making mega bucks on the way up and will make mega bucks when it comes all the way tumbling back down.

we just saw this in the housing market under bush.

just, ridiculous.

Their China presence will pick up pace in coming year and they'll recover once again. What did you expect from such a World Class REPUTABLE Company? Oh, maybe I'm guilty of bolstering ....
