The "two"; others admit being part of the multiple attacks, only 2 juvies are CHARGED. The residents deserve better; still, if the residents support the cover up, and cover up OF the cover up: BRING IN THE FEDS, and not to protect the ALLEGEDLY threatened LE, terrified of EMAILS.

I can understand the purpose of the rally mentioned in this article but at the same time I think it's also very strange. There appear to be alot of issues in this town that revolve around glorification of its football program, and any kind of rally isn't going to change that matter.

Are there alot of decent people in Steubenville? I'm sure there are. But until this case is properly investigated the rapists punished there's no reason to try and direct attention to the city's other features. None at all.

As in most of these local cases, it's not the crime, but the coverup that caught them up in this mess. People in Stupidville had to know high school athletic drinking parties were the norm and never took action to stop them. Why have no adults who owned the homes where the parties were been arrested and charged with supplying alcohol to minors or the coaches who told players to delete photos from the phones been arrested?

What in the world is wrong with you people? The whole town and surrounding area did not commit this crime! TWO people, not everyone living there! I suppose most of the info came from the internet--like the commercial says "they can't put anything on the internet that isn't true". How dumb is that! The families in that area had nothing to do with it! Place blame where it belongs--on the TWO students who "alledgedly" commited the crime, not on all the students and families!

Rape is rape. If these Stupidville officials and law enforcement had treated it like a rape case instead of something the Big Red Athletic Good Old Boys Club did, there would not be this problem for Stupdville today. The ultimate insult that shows exactly the sick mentality of those in Stupville was the volunteer coach who claimed the girl knew what she was getting into when she attended the drinking party and was raped.

Caption under photo should say " Steubenville residents hang their head in shame".
