To be honest I feel that Obama is one of the greatest presidents we've had. I compare him to Lincoln. Abraham had so many enemies. Remember how unpopular the thought of freeing slaves were in his time? Obama may not be so popular now but just like Lincoln he made very unpopular decisions. In the 1800's there were slave owners, in the 2000's we have the tea party. Obama may have his face on some monuments as well as currency. Not anytime soon but in the foreseeable future. God bless him.

GOP is failing in America. 2009 51% favored the tea party. In 2013 it's down to 30%.

So you are mad that Obama did not intervene in Libya but you are also mad that Bush did intervene in Iraq. What would you have done?

Also interesting that there was and still is instability in the former Soviet Block since threw out the Communists. Why was the right not outraged that we didn't intervene?

Marmel much of the stimulis for V&M went to take care of things that were outside of the mill proper. Things like railroad, highway etc. You need to look at the whole project

OK I will concede that the employment rate did not go as low as it should but that does not mean that stimulus money did not keep jobs and that things did not get done.

Funny J because V&M confirmed that natural gas exploration and the demand it created for piping prompted them to move forward with the expansion. The state than contributed 20 million. The project cost 650 million. Far cry from your claim the government built a mill. They picked up 3% of the tab for an addition.

Stimulus failed J today. It was supposed to get the unemployment rate down to six %. If we calculate the UE number with the same participation rate used in 09 we are still above 10%. It failed.

Your logic would indicate Colt McCoy was a success because he completed a pass. Never mind his record.

"Gaddafi??? Letting terrorists take over a country, murder our ambassador and other Americans is your definition of a success????????? Are you being serious?????? The country is less stable now than it ever was and you call it a success. RESULTS HATE Iraq – He followed Bush’s plan. Big crowning achievement"

I could write this exact sentence about Iraq and we have thousands of dead Americans to show for it.

One of the natural results of a dictatorship is stability. That stability might not be healthy but people do know the rules.

"The stimulus - FAILED miserably. We have spent 4 years worth of that bill and have nothing to show for it."

Marmel I don't know where you live but I can walk to several road that are rebuilt because of the stimulus, In Youngstown there is an ENTIRE STEEL MILL built because of the stimulus dollars. Maybe you need to get outside, get a little fresh air, live a little.

Elusive: You must have skipped all the facts I posted. Now let’s go back to reading comprehension, you liberals have a very hard time with it. I never said that Obama didn’t pass what hate said he did. I listed facts pertaining to actual effects of those policies. You think they passed the stimulus and wa la economy fixed. Meanwhile, 4 years later we are headed towards a debt crisis, we have record unemployment, record number on assistance, no lending. Did I sta sta sta stutter. Facts seem pretty elusive to the elusive man.

Just about every “achievement” you listed actually made matters worse when they were implemented. That is called failure. When policies do not deliver on what was promised it is a failed policy.

Saved the auto industry??? You mean GM, that is hardly the entire auto industry! GM isn’t worth squat Hate. Are you not paying attention? Their stock has to double for them to actually break even. They have asked the government to relinquish control so they can run the business. They are a subsidized company, not a profitable one by any measureable standard. That is not saving an industry. It is subsidizing a company with tax payer money so they stay afloat. Big difference!

Frank Dodd is a failure Hate: It hasn’t done anything it said it would. As a result of the bill and its regulations lending to small businesses is at record lows. The economy is still stagnant. It hasn’t restored fiscal stability as advertised, as you can see by the debt crisis and fiscal cliff perpetual crisis. Lower income American’s are now (were) being charged fees by banks for checking accounts to offset revenue losses. Smaller lending institutions are struggling to process through all the regulations thus not extending lines of credit. Also, the sector of the economy that caused this recession was the mortgage industry (fannie and Freddie) and this bill did absolutely nothing to the government policies that helped foster the crash in this industry….Nothing! Outcomes hate, Results. You need to start looking at what bills do instead of what they are named.

The stimulus - FAILED miserably. We have spent 4 years worth of that bill and have nothing to show for it. 23 million still unemployed. ARE U TRULY THIS THICK. RECORD NUMBER ON ASSISTANCE AFTER $ YEARS OF STIMULUS spending.

Hate you don't measure accomplishments buy a plan but by the outcomes of that plan.

"Oh, he has a plan what an accomplishment" how ridiculous!

1. Health care reform - increases premiums, puts government in between patients and doctors, costs more than double than he said it would and decreases quality of care. Only fascists and communists would call this an accomplishments.

Once again hate the outcomes little boy, the outcomes.

10. Toppled Moammar Gaddafi: In March 2011, joined a coalition of European and Arab governments in military action, including air power and naval blockade, against Gaddafi regime to defend Libyan civilians and support rebel troops. Gaddafi’s forty-two-year rule ended when the dictator was overthrown and killed by rebels on October 20, 2011. No American lives were lost.

8. Recapitalized Banks: In the midst of financial crisis, approved controversial Treasury Department plan to lure private capital into the country’s largest banks via “stress tests” of their balance sheets and a public-private fund to buy their “toxic” assets. Got banks back on their feet at essentially zero cost to the government.

7. Turned Around U.S. Auto Industry: In 2009, injected $62 billion in federal money (on top of $13.4 billion in loans from the Bush administration) into ailing GM and Chrysler in return for equity stakes and agreements for massive restructuring. Since bottoming out in 2009, the auto industry has added more than 100,000 jobs. In 2011, the Big Three automakers all gained market share for the first time in two decades.
