Do I have to come over there and show you how to convey ideas and thoughts properly?

Ah... Why? Why is this a bad idea? And no, this isn't a textbook. You can't assume that readers will reference or have read a prior editorial in this paper about this issue.

"ONION: For a situation a family finds itself in after a New Year's Day hit-and-run driver injured a Warren man..."

Another brave position taken by this paper. Coming out against a hit and run driver. Wow!

"...We hope the authorities find the driver."

Well, really?

"...having been awarded a $40,000 grant for park renovations. The money came from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Natureworks grant..."

I thought this newspaper was against things like this, being conservative... See this is a failing when papers have viewpoints. Hard to stick to your guns.
