"A steadily improving economy...."

Flagrant propaganda.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Taxpayers, take in the rear.

In December, the Treasury sold 200 millions shares back to GM for 27 dollars in share. The Taxpayers needed 53 dollars a share, so the taxpayer just lost untold billions of dollars, now the break even price moves to approx 70 dollars per share on the remaining 300 million shares.

Good for the local economy, local people and local communities. I'm more concerned with how the bank bailouts were handled than real jobs investment was handled.

I'm HAPPY for a GM worker earning over $27.00 per hour! The reason why is because THAT person is WORKING! Not some lazy leech siphoning away on government hand-outs or food stamps. Plus they are stimulating the economy.

GM twenty years ago was a reputable company. Today, after how they treated the people that made them what they were is simply inexcusable. I agree, the bailout was severely mishandled and simply sickening to say the least. However, I am happy for the local crowd and what continued success will bring to the valley. I will also disclose that my parents are retired Packard Electric employees ........

Ihateusblues, your post makes me think--$27 an hour sounds like a lot of money, I wonder what kind of lifestyle a person making that can of money can live. Mostly I wonder if they could afford to have 8 children by several different women by age 25. Just wondering. Maybe some people aren't as stupid as they seem. Sign up for welfare and food stamps, we'll pay you to have more kids, each one more decent, non-violent and intelligent than the last! (no doubt)

auto sales: Year 2012 Toyota jumped 27% in Sales--and paid taxes to the US Treasury.

Honda jumped 24% in Sales -- and paid taxes to the US Treasury.

GM jumped 4% in Sales, paid no Corporate income tax.
