We need to overhaul the entire system. We have too many super old senators who hold grudges. We need fresh new young faces who are determined to serve the COUNTRY over selfishness. I'm tired of this back and forth bickering and political chess match. They should NOT be allowed to vote for their own pay raises either.

Ihate - gotta agree with you here. Several members of Congress feel the same way and are retiring or just leaving because of the devisiveness. Obama's arrorgance and Reid's contenciousness only adds fuel to the flame.

Afret1 - Obviously you don't know Congressman LaTourette nor did you read or see his interviews stating his reasons for leaving Congress.

He never once mentioned President Obama or Senator Reid.

What he did say was this: "“I have reached the conclusion that the atmosphere today and the reality that exists in the House of Representatives no longer encourages the finding of common ground.”

LaTourette told reporters that to rise in party ranks, politicians must now hand over “your wallet and your voting card” to party extremes and he was uninterested.

He also vented his extreme frustration that House Republicans wouldn't pass the infrastructure bill.

He did not believe in Grover Norquist's Tax pledge, and never signed it. He's been publicly quoted on this multiple times.

He voted for a mix of tax hikes and spending cuts. He's the kind of Republican we needed to keep, not lose, and he'll be sadly missed.

He left not because of Obama and Reid, but because of the T

Congressman LaTourette left for the same reason Congressman Snowe left - because the Tea Party extremists are holding the Republican Party hostage.

Speaker Boehner had to pull the bill for aid for the folks in New York and New Jersey, many of who are still living in shelters, and can't even begin to start rebuilding their lives until the aid bill is passed.

The Senate passed it with bipartisan support, but the Tea Party obstructionists in the House kept if from being voted on.

You want to know why this House of Representatives has the worst record in the history of the United States as far as work days and legislation passed - there is only one group to blame.

Come 2014, you can bet that it will be Tea Party Candidates and Tea Party Congressmen who will find themselves unemployed.

As far as a spending addiction - open your eyes.. look at what really happened.

IF Bush hadn't passed 2 tax cuts, we could have paid for both wars and the other things he did, and we wouldn't have this huge deficit.

MATH doesn't lie, but then, I rather expect most of you flamers wouldn't be able to make change for a cup of coffee if the electronic register didn't tell you how.

DUH... let's see.. Coffee is 49 cents, he gave me a dollar.. now how much should I give him back in change...DUH.. the cash register isn't working.. where's a pencil and paper.

You people make me sick.

Not that any of you Congressman Tim Ryan haters care, but the Younstown Vindicator, a newspaper that has been locally owned by the same family since 1887 had this to say the other day:

"The opening in September of the $70 million National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute made international headlines. The fact that 65 colleges, universities, private companies and nonprofit organizations in this part of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia chose downtown Youngstown to establish the institute is a testament to Youngstown State University’s STEM College, the Youngstown Business Incubator and Congressman Tim Ryan’s unrelenting effort to create a tech belt from Pittsburgh to Youngstown to Akron and Cleveland."

But you'd rather believe the Tea Party hacks from Wheeling WV who own the Tribune who constantly deride our Congressman, rather than acknowledge real news from a locally owned and operated newspaper.

The "Pork" that is included in this legislation is uncalled for. Tax breaks for owners of "Auto Racing Facilities"? Is just one of many. Check it out, you will be amazed.

Yea, the venture capitalists are praising Tim Ryan. They're saying thanks, Tim, for the free taxpayer pork. I thought I'd have to actually put my own money at risk to start a business in a cpaitalist country. But no, I can get free money from the taxpayer via handout Timmy. Hey Tim, let me buy you a DRINK...

10 9 8 7 6....

No, that's not the countdown to the new year. Those are the years winding down to when the federal government goes bankrupt. Under the non leadership of the president, the unfunded liabilities of social security and Medicare, along with massive deficits are driving us to an even steeper fiscal cliff! Do the math.

Young people need to give Mr. Obama a fiddle so he can play while their future is being burned up.

Some idiots are so full of anti-Obama hatred that it's impossible to stay clear of this message board. Even after crying that he was done here. Sure step on in, I feel the need to be childish again...
