Really I can’t believe you posted that claim. It has been ripped to shreds by everyone, including a lot of left wing media outlets.

Obama’s “plan” also called on more cuts to Medicare and Medicaid Karen by magically making them more efficient and then gives a savings value of 400 billion. Don’t ask me how they arrived at that number. His budget also relied heavily on tax increases to pay down the debt. But tax revenues generally decline when taxes are raised because it has an adverse effect on business. You know this, you claimed you offer tax incentives to get business going. The 4 trillion was a politically calculated maneuver not a serious proposal.

More from Clinton’s chief of staff Karen: “Have any of you all met Paul Ryan? We should get him to come to the university. I’m telling you this guy is amazing. ... He is honest, he is straightforward, he is sincere. And the budget that he came forward with is just like Paul Ryan. It is a sensible, straightforward, serious budget and it cut the budget deficit just like we did, by $4 trillion. … The president as you remember, came out with a budget and I don’t think anybody took that budget very seriously. The Senate voted against it 97 to nothing."

Karen, that bill did no such thing. Even his own appointed analysis committee said so. Once again you are repeating Political ads not reality. Here is reality Karen:

Obama’s plan did not cut 4 trillion

As Bill Clinton's chief of staff Erskine Bowles has said, the president's budget is simply not a serious budget like Paul Ryan's budget:

The president’s budget, for instance, takes credit for about $1 trillion in spending cuts that were already signed into law in 2011, and should already be incorporated given that they fall outside the 10-year budget window.

The budget also includes another $800 billion in phantom savings related to the military drawdowns in Iraq and Afghanistan—money that would never have been spent to begin with—and another $800 billion in projected savings due to reduced interest payments on the debt, something not traditionally cited in federal budget documents as a form of government “spending” that can be “cut."

In two months a 110 billion in Spending cuts goes into effect, It was agreed to by Obama in 2011, now Obama is going to go against his own agreement.

Also, the Republicans stopped the pay increase granted to them by Obama, Obama again using Executive Powers to grant raises..They slipped it in the final agreement.

First, let's remember that President Obama offered up a plan in 2012 cutting 4 Trillion from the deficit over the next 12 years.

1 Trillion from new taxes, 2 Trillion from budget cuts, and 1 Trillion from saved interest payments.

Please note that in 2011, our interest paid on the national debt was 220 Billion, more than we paid for the entire MEDICAID program in 2011.

I bet the Republicans wish they had taken that deal now.

Secondly - we already cut 1 Trillion from the deficit in the 2012 budget, or did you miss that someplace along the line between BWAHAHAHA and Honey Boo Boo?

We made some progress tonight, and we'll continue to chip away at the nonsense the Republican held House of Representatives generates.

I can't wait for 2014 - when we take control of the House and we can really get some things done.
