4:40pm: Judge rules on retirees
Bankruptcy Judge Robert Gerber today approved an agreement between IUE-CWA retirees from Delphi Corp. and General Motors Corp. providing health care, pensions and life insurance. International Union of Electrical Workers-Communications Workers of America President Jim Clark announced the ruling this afternoon. The agreement, which takes effect Jan. 1, includes roughly 41,000 retirees, including some 20,000 under age 65.
