Clubs organize Lenten breakfast

The Niles Service Clubs, including the Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions organizations, have combined forces to host a single Lenten Breakfast this year. In prior years, each club held its own event; however, rather than separate the clubs, they have decided to come together to host one single breakfast this year for the purpose of friendship and fellowship. The event will be held at 7:30 a.m. March 31 at Hometown Buffet, in the Eastwood Mall Complex. Belles and Beaux, a vocal choir from Niles McKinley High School choir will perform. The cost to attend is $7.50 and all members of the clubs or any concerned citizen is invited to attend. Speaker for the event is Fr. Richard Murphy, president of Notre Dame School. Murphy was appointed to serve as president of the school July 1, 2008 by Bishop George V. Murry S.J. Prior to his appointment, Murphy served as assistant principal of Ursuline High School in Youngstown for 22 years. Notre Dame School is composed of John .
