Liberty woman to design logo
Sandra Cika of Liberty, owner of Insite design and marketing firm, was chosen to design the First Night Youngstown logo. This is the 10th anniversary of the New Year’s Eve celebration. Cika also is the event’s marketing director.
A township woman has been tapped to help Youngstown throw its biggest New Year’s Eve bash ever. Sandra Cika, owner of Insite design and marketing firm, created the logo for First Night Youngstown 2010, which is the event’s 10th anniversary. Cika also is the event’s marketing director. “It’s a little more upscale than previous logos because the marketing committee wanted to turn things up a notch for the 10th anniversary,” Cika said. “I wanted to convey the magic of New Year’s Eve. It is multi-layered because First Night has events happening in every corner of the city and has something for everyone to enjoy,” she said. The logo was unveiled Friday at the MVR Restaurant near the campus of Youngstown State University. The restaurant hosted the first in a series of events called First Night Fridays that will be held to offer people “a slice of First Night” by featuring entertainers who have performed during past New Year’s Eve celebrations or who will be featured this yea.
