The fat lady is singing ...
Hey! Do you hear it? Shhhhhh ... listen carefully. Hear that? It’s the fat lady, and she’s singing my song! Unbelievably to me, it’s been a year already since I began writing this column every other week. I knew it was coming because I recently saw the ad in the Tribune asking for entries for four new columnists. Even so, I wasn’t really prepared to end it so soon. Writing has always been something I’ve enjoyed. It’s a way to express more clearly all that’s running around, or sometimes flying around, in my head. As you’ve seen, sometimes I’m on my soapbox; sometimes I’m sharing my feelings. Once in awhile, I might have actually made you laugh while still other times I probably left you scratching your head wondering why I even bothered to send it in that week. I know at least one column made a segment of the population pretty mad. My hope when I got started here was that I’d share something that you might identify with.
