Listen, laugh and read during the summer
Time has passed quickly, and here we are celebrating the summer in Northeast Ohio again. The festivals and community events are in full swing in the Square. The weekend concerts at the amphitheatre and Packard Music Hall will provide us with outdoor music to enjoy. My first column last year was on the Fourth of July, and this last one will be just before Father’s Day. Kind of backward, coming in with a bang and out like a summer breeze. But I have always been a little different. I would like to thank the Tribune Chronicle for giving me the opportunity to share my point of view with their readers. I was surprised how many people recognized me from the photo on my column. Guess I really do look like that. I have received e-mails from former residents who read the Tribune online. I was pleased to find that even though residents may move away, they still feel that Warren is their home no matter where they live now.

Concerts are scheduled in Warren, Youngstown and other venues within a 50-mile radius.
Do some spring cleaning around town
Spring is here, and with it the warmer weather and frequent rains that make the grass grow quickly as we move into the summer months. Weekly mowing is now a must, especially if you were silly enough to use fertilizer on it last fall.

What is Warren planning to do with all the empty school lots? With the demolition of the old schools, along with them went the playgrounds, basketball courts and ball fields that the neighborhood kids played in.
