Trailer online for next movie by Niles director Dominic Sena
July 24, 2009 - Andy Gray
Niles native Dominic Sena – who directed “Swordfish,” “Gone in 60 Seconds” and “Kalifornia” – has a new movie arriving in theaters on Sept. 11.
“Whiteout,” based on a graphic novel by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber, stars Kate Beckinsale as U.S. Marshal investigating a murder in Antarctica.
The trailer for the film premiered this week at Comic-Con and can be viewed online by clicking the link.
It’s been eight years since “Swordfish” was in theaters, and production on “Whiteout” finished more than a year ago. However, local audiences won’t have to wait another eight years for his next film. According to the Internet Movie Database, production is completed on "Season of the Witch" – a medieval thriller directed by Sena and starring Nicolas Cage – and it is set for release in March 2010.
