Blink and you may miss lawn ticket deal
May 22, 2009 - Andy Gray
Those who are feeling nostalgic for 1999 can catch Blink-182, which is reforming after a five-year hiatus for a summer tour.
Both Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls and Post-Gazette Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pa., are included on the itinerary, and the decision on which venue comes down to: Do you like Weezer and Taking Back Sunday or do you prefer Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco?
Blink-182 has assembled an impressive roster of rotating support acts for the tour. At Star Lake on Aug. 14 the trio will be joined by Fall Out Boy, Panic and Chester French, according to a press release sent out this morning. The official Blossom announcement hasn’t been made yet, but support bands for the Sept. 2 show in Cuyahoga Falls will be Weezer, TBS and French, according to Pollstar magazine’s Web site.
The band also is offering fans a summer bargain. A limited number of lawn tickets at Star Lake (and I’m guessing Blossom) are $20. That includes all ticketing fees, taxes and parking. Pavilion tickets at Star Lake are $69, $45 and $31 and the regular lawn price is $26. Tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. May 30 through www.livenation.com and by calling 877-598-8703.
