Songs of Christmas: 'Jingle Bell Mash'

December 2, 2013 - Andy Gray
JD Eicher & the Goodnights' album "Into Place" has gotten a lot of play in the Gray household since its release in September.

The Summit has been playing the Canfield native's "I'd Like to Get to Know You" in regular rotation, and there are several other songs just as worthy, including "Give It Up," "Ode to the Underdog," "The Last Love Song" and "You've Got a Lot of Growing Up to Do."

For a little holiday cheer, check out the Goodnights' "Jingle Bell Mash," a clever mashup of several Christmas favorites that the band released last year. And the stop-motion animation that accompanies it is just as well-executed.

Maybe it will make the setlist when the band performs Dec. 14 at the Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman for the 2nd Ugly Sweater Party. Also on the bill will be The Speedbumps. Admission for the all-ages show is $5.

Enjoy the song and don't forget to include some local music on your holiday shopping list.
