Darius Rucker says he's coming to Youngstown

November 4, 2013 - Andy Gray
Darius Rucker announced his “True Believers Tour” today, and the itinerary includes a Feb. 28 date at Youngstown’s Covelli Centre.

Rucker, who started as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish, has continued his chart success as a country solo artist. He’s had three number one country hits, including his version of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel,” which topped the Billboard country chart earlier this year.

The Eli Young Band and David Nail will open for Rucker on the tour, which starts Jan. 29 in Champaign, Ill.

According to Rucker’s website, there will be a presale on his website starting Nov. 17, and tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Dec. 6.

No announcement has been made yet by the Covelli Centre regarding the show.

I've been a big fan of his since the "Hootie and the Blowfish" days.
