Pearl Jam starts fall tour in Pittsburgh

July 8, 2013 - Andy Gray
Pittsburgh will be the first stop on a 24-date tour that Pearl Jam announced today.

The band will play Consol Energy Center on Oct. 11. A pressale for Pearl Jam’s Ten Club members is underway now.

Tickets for the general public will not go on sale until 10 a.m. July 27. No ticket prices were included in the announcement, but Ticketmaster’s website lists the price at $62 -- plus $16.15 in various fees, more than 25 percent of the face value of the ticket.

It’s pretty clear who the winner was in Pearl Jam’s battle with the ticketing service in the ‘90s. And everyone in line and online on July 27 will know who the losers are.
