Down at the half
October 14, 2012 - Mike McLain
CLEVELAND -- The Browns scored on a 71-yard pass from Brandon Weeden to Josh Gordon, but the Bengals have the lead at halftime, 14-7.
The Browns were confined by poor field position throughout the half, with the exception of the first drive when they reached the Bengals' 27. Weeden's first-down throw was batted into the air and intercepted by Michael Johnson.
The Bengals scored on a pair of Andy Dalton touchdown passes. The first covered 55 yards to tight end Jermaine Gresham. Dalton threw a 4-yard scoring pass to A.J. Green near halftime.
Linebacker Craig Robertson had Gresham in man coverage on the touchdown. Gresham beat Robertson with an inside move and was wide open to catch the pass. He then stiff-armed Robertson on the way to the end zone.
The Browns have tried to get running back Trent Richardson rolling but with little success. He had 11 carries for 31 yards and caught two passes for 17 yards.
Weeden is 9-of-14 for 139 yards.
