Richardson is questionable
August 7, 2012 - Mike McLain
BEREA -- It's a sight Browns' fans don't want to see -- running back Trent Richardson on a stationary bike during practice.
Richardson missed Tuesday's practice with a sore left knee. He had meniscus surgery on the knee last winter. He wasn't able to participate in the NFL combine in late February because of the surgery.
Coach Pat Shurmur hasn't ruled Richardson out of Friday's preseason opener in Detroit against the Lions, but he said it's possible Richardson won't play.
Richardson hadn't missed a practice since training camp opened. Last Saturday he participated in individual drills but was held out of team drills because of a headache. Richardson was the third overall pick in the draft. He's being counted on to be the focal point on offense, even with rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden now entrenched as a starter.
