Buffett returns to First Niagara; Blossom looks unlikely
March 22, 2012 - Andy Gray
Jimmy Buffett returns to First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa., on June 28 as part of his “Lounging at the Lagoon” summer tour, and that appears to be his only area appearance.
Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band played Blossom Music Center as well as First Niagara last summer for the first time since 2004. But the Cuyahoga Falls amphitheater isn’t among the venues currently on his tour schedule.
It looks a second batch of shows in August still may be announced (right now there is an Aug. 2 show in Cincinnati after a month-long break and nothing else scheduled that month). However, the Cleveland office for promoter Live Nation sent out an announcement about the First Niagara date as well as the Pittsburgh office. Cleveland normally doesn’t announce Pittsburgh-area shows unless there won’t be one closer to home.
Tickets for the June 28 show are $136 pavilion and $36 lawn and go on sale at 10 a.m. April 2 through Live Nation and Ticketmaster. There is an 8-ticket limit per person.
Buffett will release a live CD/DVD set later this summer that was recorded last October in Las Vegas.
