Miranda Lambert announces Covelli Centre date
November 4, 2011 - Andy Gray
Rising country star and Grammy Award winner Miranda Lambert will perform at the Covelli Centre on Feb. 18.
Lambert’s new album, “Four the Record,” was released this week and has been earning the same rave reviews as 2009’s “Revolution,” which received a Grammy nomination for Best County Album (she won for Best Female County Vocal Performance for the song “The House That Built Me”).
Lambert’s new husband, Blake Shelton, performed earlier this year at the Canfield Fair. She’ll be joined on this trek by a couple other country guys – Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann. Young, who like Lambert had his career launched by the reality series “Nashville Star,” has had four number one country hits, including “Tomorrow” and “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song).” Niemann’s debut album includes the number one country hit “Lover Lover.”
Lambert is quoted in the press release announcing the tour as saying, "I'm looking forward to the tour and playing some new music from 'Four The Record' and kicking some attitude. Chris and Jerrod have great shows and we're gonna have a lot of fun out there this year and it will be a great year with our fans. See you out there!"
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 through Ticketmaster, and prices start at $34.75 (the announcement this morning didn’t include the other prices, and there was no link for the show yet on Ticketmaster).
Lambert does do presales for members of her Ran Fans fanclub. The cost of membership is $20 per year.
UPDATE (10:38 a.m.): There's now a link for the show on Ticketmaster's website. tickets range from $31.75 to $49.75 plus the usual fees, etc.
