This could hurt

August 2, 2011 - Mike McLain
BEREA -- The Browns suffered their first significant injury of training camp Tuesday.

Punter Reggie Hodges went down with a torn Achilles' tendon. He will have surgery soon for an injury that will end his season. Hodges is the only punter in camp, which means another punter will have to be signed. Former Brown Dave Zastudil is out of a job and could be a consideration.

In other news, rookie tight end Jordan Cameron was back on the field after suffering leg cramps the day before. He was among the standouts at practice.

Running back Montario Hardesty was held out of practice for a second straight day. Shurmur said it's not a concern and that Hardesty is occasionally taking it easy in his return from major knee surgery.

Guard Eric Steinbach missed another days with a left knee injury. Receiver Mohamed Massaquoi is still wearing a boot to protect his left calf.

Receivers Joshuia Cribbs and Carlton Mitchell remained sidelined with knee and shoulder problems. respectively.
