Tickets available for The Hold Steady in Cleveland
April 12, 2010 - Andy Gray
The last two times The Hold Steady played the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, the shows sold out well in advance.
There still are about 50 tickets remaining for Tuesday’s show at the Beachland. This will be the first area opportunity to see the band since the departure of keyboard player Franz Nicolay.
The remaining foursome – Craig Finn, Tad Kubler, Galen Polivka, Bobby Drake – is joined by a keyboard player and another guitarist in the touring lineup.
Tuesday’s show also will give fans a chance to hear some of the songs from the band’s upcoming release, "Heaven Is Whenever," which is due in stores on May 4. Based on setlists from other dates on the tour, the band is mixing in several new tracks along with concert favorites.
Click the link to hear "The Weekenders," "Rock Problems" and "Hurricane J," the three new songs the band is streaming on its MySpace page.
The music starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday with The Oranges Band. The bands also will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Club Diesel in Pittsburgh.
