Jeff Dunham sells out Covelli Centre

October 2, 2009 - Andy Gray
All those years of playing the Funny Farm Comedy Club in Liberty paid off.

The Covelli Centre just announced that comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham’s show there on Oct. 8 is sold out.

The news actually isn’t that surprising. Dunham has been selling out arenas for awhile now, and he certainly has a loyal local fan base after performing at least a dozen times in the Mahoning Valley dating back to the early ‘90s.

Still, it’s an impressive feat for any comedian to sell that many tickets, and it’s another feather in the cap for the venue’s current management, which has proven adept at picking shows that will sell despite the tough economy.
