Sound off!

Thanks to wonderful people! I am handicapped, and every time I’m out, someone opens and holds doors for me, reaches items high on shelves and helps me load my car. People driving by have stopped to tell me I dropped something. A man waited in cold weather with me until my husband brought the car so he could load our heavy bags. These people are all ages, race and sizes. There are many good people out there! Thanks to all!

What has the world come to that the public library has a padlock on its toilet tissue roller?

This is the platform for the Democrats running in 2020. They are against anyone who supports President Trump and against American citizens; condemnation for having money; reparations for slavery. They are against the meat industry and will push vegetarianism. They will support open borders, illegal immigration, climate change and free everything. Remember, a government that’s big enough to give you everything is big enough to take everything away.

So sad another Democrat is campaigning for president instead of tending to his elected office. Talk about a waste of taxpayers’ money.

On the Tribune Chronicle front page Friday you see a delusional Ryan. Unlike Ryan, people like tax cuts, unemployment at all-time low for everyone, our country being energy independent and the resurgence of manufacturing jobs. The economy is thriving except in Ryan’s district. The do-nothing congressman wants me to support progressive / socialist failed policies? No thanks! He’s done nothing but throw our money on “investing” in failed ideas. Get real, Ryan. You failed your district; you’d fail the country.

If this announcement came Monday, I’d have said, good April Fools’ prank. Unfortunately, it’s for real. Tim Ryan has no more chance of being president than my next-door neighbor. And great location for his announcement, “The View” — cesspool of daytime talk. Ryan has done so much for this area — I can just imagine what he’d do for this country, said no one ever. I think he really wants to be vice president. Think then he’d stand up to Pelosi? I don’t either.

“Onion” to veteran organizations (American Legion, Amvets, VFW) for not defending the honor of Vietnam vet, POW and Sen. John McCain after an insensitive, vicious and unwarranted attack on his honor by POTUS. There was not one peep from his “brothers in arms.” Whatever happened to “no man left behind?” My prayer is that all U.S. citizens continue to respect and honor all veterans, and not follow examples set by spiteful POTUS.

This country will never solve the border issue with this president because he’ll never compromise with Democrats. If he did, he would lose his base. He knows that, and the Republican Senate knows that. This is why he keeps jumping to the next big shiny object on Fox News, as UAW Local 1112 President Dave Green found out and the Tribune Chronicle commented about last month. This is so sad for our country.

Regarding medical marijuana, I have endured IBS for 20 years, with the last few getting much worse. Using edibles, I have not had a major flare-up in three months. I consume only 10 mg three times a day. It is a small dosage with no “high” side effects. Amazing!

Ask yourself, what has Donald Trump done for the poor and low-income people of the U.S.A. the past two years? Have your wages increased? Has he provided food, clothing, a bed to sleep in? No, that’s the Warren Family Mission. Businesses are closing here with no new ones coming in. Between now and the 2020 presidential election, ask what each presidential candidate will do to help you reach economic success.

Jussie Smollett skates away from 16 criminal felony counts and the file is sealed. Smollett had his legal entourage and hidden “Michelle” money as a result of a relative’s connection. These untouchables are whittling away at the very fabric of American legitimacy. Honest, law-abiding, hard-working citizens are being unjustly moved aside, and minutiae are rising to the top. There is no end in sight.
