Local and national chains aid community
DEAR EDITOR:
Although it is great to promote local cuisine, it’s not fair to say chains don’t do the same things for the community.
They do a lot. They employ people, and though it is true revenue does go back to corporate headquarters, they also definitely support the community.
As everyone knows, the Covelli family has three chains in Trumbull County, and I doubt there’s any family that does more for our community than they do.
To mention just two — the Panerathon and animal welfare.
Other chain restaurants also have stepped up for the community, for example, Chick-fil-A and Outback Steakhouse. That’s to say nothing about all the chains that honor our service men and women and veterans. Let’s support all businesses, whether they are local or national chains!
