DEAR EDITOR:

I just don’t know where to begin to thank the Tribune Chronicle and its staff for all the ongoing coverage for our local veterans and especially the recent coverage of The Wall That Heals in Warren.

The heartwarming news stories and pictures this past week at Packard Park were overwhelming. They truly added to the tremendous interest of our families who came to the wall to visit and pay honor to those 58,318 men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

I was honored to be part of The Wall that Heals committee, which helped to plan and execute this event. It was wonderful seeing visitors of all ages from all around our community and outside our area walking and sharing stories at all hours of day and night.

So please accept this Hand Salute to the Tribune Chronicle staff for an outstanding job with this special event and for all of the veteran coverage throughout the year. Semper Fi.
