Unions should reject Tim Ryan for House
DEAR EDITOR:
I have just one question about your article on Rep. Tim Ryan wanting backing from the unions.
Where was Ryan when Republic Steel was in trouble way before it closed down? The closure meant many people in the Valley lost their jobs and saw their pensions reduced or lost.
Also, where was Ryan when employees — either salaried or hourly employees — lost their pensions at Packard Electric?
I’ll tell you where — not to be found; missing in action.
Now he wants union support? The unions should tell Ryan to go pound salt because if they have a problem in the future Ryan again will be missing in action.
We need someone in this office that will stand up for the people of this Valley regardless of whether it’s union or not!
