Retire means go Away, not rehire

Retire: To withdraw or remove oneself …

So if that is the definition of retire, why is it that the ”education” profession does not understand the meaning? Nope, they think that along with retire comes the word rehire.

You do not retire from a job just to get rehired to get paid extra money (double dip, anyone?). If you retire, you remove yourself and walk away. Let someone else have the right to move up and experience what you just said you are done with.

Shame on the boards that continually allow this to happen. You not only slap your taxpayers in the face, you shut the door for the trickle effect that would allow for possible new jobs.

The only people who benefit from this retire rehire is the person you just gave an extra paycheck to.
