United Way grateful for growing interest

Thank you for recognizing the successful completion of United Way of Trumbull County’s recent fundraising campaign, an achievement made possible not only by the dedication of its leaders – Campaign Chair Jim Whetstone and Board Chair Fran Cunningham – but more importantly, by the belief of the community in the important work of our United Way.

Surpassing our 2013 monetary campaign goal was a great achievement; but United Way of Trumbull County had another goal in mind. We strove to reconnect and reaffirm our roots in the community.

The positive response was incredibly motivating. The community’s support was overwhelming and thanks to your contributions, our agencies can continue serving the residents of our county.

We want our residents to know it’s not solely about what we raise; it’s about what we do. It is in the day-to-day delivery of vital and necessary services provided by the local agencies and programs that United Way helps fund that the true measure of success can be seen.

The agencies we support play a critical role in providing aid and resources to members of our community when they need it most.

By the generosity of all the contributors, large and small, businesses and private individuals, United Way will be able to sustain and increase its financial support of area programs. It is refreshing to see just how much area residents care for their friends and neighbors, and this care echoes our 2013 Campaign theme, ”United, We Can.”
