President Obama is trying to play God
It has been 159 days since the launch of healthcare.gov and the beginning of our country’s transformation from President Ronald Reagan’s ”shining city on a hill” to President Barack Obama’s ”I have a pen and a phone, and that’s all I need” and to a possible future President Hillary Clinton’s ”What difference does it make?”
Over the last five months, the strategy from the left has been that We The People must remain constantly distracted by talking about anything but government-run health care while the average American’s private insurance premium has gone up by at least 15 percent. However, a special report issued last month from the Congressional Budget Office says that as a result of the Obamacare ”tax,” there will be a drop of at least 2 million people in the American work force by 2017.
The truth is that the ”Un” Affordable Care Act (ACA) will undeniably evolve throughout all 50 states over a period of time into a single-payer health care system where the government will choose the winners and the losers, who will be accepted and who will be denied, and who will live and who will die.
There is a God, and the Obama administration is not it. The ultimate goal is to put the government in charge of an all-inclusive, taxpayer-financed, price-fixing, one-size-fits-all, bureaucrat-intensive monopoly health care system. As a result, there will be rationing of health care, long waiting lines, more waiting lists, frustrating bureaucracies, demoralized doctors and nurses, deteriorating facilities, obsolete technology, and last but not least, a sky-rocketing taxation to cover the cost of this disastrous quality of care.
For example, the state of Vermont with a population of 626,000 is planning to begin a single-payer health care system by 2017 that is going to cost the state at least $2 billion. Ohio has a population of 11.5 million and it would cost 18 times that amount or about $36 billion to cover for a single-payer health care system.
Who is going to pay for this? Is this what you want for your kids and the future generations of Americans? Why was the ACA rammed through Congress by Obama, Reid and Pelosi four years ago without giving anyone a real chance to read or debate it? What happened to the idea of government healthcare savings accounts where American citizens could build capital and have money set aside for something catastrophic?
What about offering high-tech, consumer-driven health care solutions where insurance premiums and services could be marketed and purchased across state lines allowing for prices to be lowered through a variety of options and competition? What happened to our faith in capitalism and the desire to have the best health care system in the world?
Say goodbye to American exceptionalism and say hello to the new American socialism, where everyone is equally miserable or just be calm and carry on.
