Green space turned into concrete jungle

Developmentally challenged:

Could we get smart about development in this area? Challenge the idea that any development is better than none? For example: on Elm Road there was a 7-acre “green space” with mature trees. The trees have been removed, and what wonderful development replaced this? Another auto parts store.

The new O’Reilly Autoparts store is across the road from Auto Zone and down the road from Advance Auto Parts – all in the space of one mile. When one or all of these stores goes out of business (and experience shows they will), we’ll be left with more empty buildings and parking lots on Elm Road. Not a pretty picture. Not necessary development.

Please, Warren and Howland, look to redevelop the empty spots and do not add more concrete and tarmack to this sprawling, ugly, urban heat zone.
