Gun control ideas seem pointless

So much has been discussed about gun control. There have been a lot of shootings in the schools and my sympathy goes out to each and every family.

More gun laws are not going to fix the problem. If criminals want to obtain guns, they will do so. I understand that guns can be bought from the Internet.

If law-abiding citizens want to own guns, they certainly have a right to do so. We don’t need to worry about them. I don’t think trying to control the criminal element will do any good.

We have laws about drunken drivers, but people still drive drunk. How many times do we read in the paper that a person has had several DUIs and they still drive drunk? The only time something is done to the person is when they harm or kill someone.

Until people realize that killing is wrong, there will be more shootings. It seems like an insurmountable task to control people who don’t have the mental capacity to think that what they are doing is wrong.
