Julie B. Clark 1956-2018

MIDDLEFIELD — Julie Beth Crane Clark, 62, of Middlefield, went to dance with Jesus when she passed peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at her home.

Julie was born March 9, 1956, to Richard and Margaret Hobson Crane.

She was a James A. Garfield graduate and received her associate’s degree in nursing through Akron General Hospital. She was the first nurse in the radiology department at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, where she spent most of her career. She believed nursing was her calling in life and she considered it a gift to care for others.

Julie loved the Lord. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very active in her church and enjoyed reading, writing, gardening and leading and participating in Bible studies. She served as lay leader through the Methodist Church, a camp nurse through Lakeside Institute and helped with Arts Alive camps. She had a passion for serving others and for showing love to those around her.

She is survived by her daughters, Carrie (Todd) Barcikowski of Parkman and Sarita (Ryan) Slone of Southington; her grandchildren, Kannon, Julianna, Jaxon and Lyla Joanne; her sister, Sally (Dale Wynns) Crane of Kent; and many friends who became family.

Julie was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018. A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec.14, 2018. All services will be held at the Windham United Methodist Church.
