Rose A. Barrett 1933-2018

WARREN — Rose A. Barrett, 85, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, with her family by her side.

She was born April 6, 1933, in Heilwood, Pa., the daughter of Glardo and Mary Marcenzo.

She attended Heilwood High School in Pennsylvania. She had worked at Van Husain shirt factory in Pennsylvania. Rose was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived for her family. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Warren. Rose enjoyed cooking, shopping and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her caregiver and husband of 62 years, Charles J. Barrett Sr., whom she married June 30, 1956; two children, Bernadette (Dennis) Luoma of Meadville, Pa., and Vincent A. (Donna) Barrett of Cortland; four grandchildren, Nicole Luoma, Dominic Barrett, Chaz Barrett and Eric Barrett; and three brothers, John (Lois) Marcenzo, Henry (Mary) Marcenzo and Charles Marcenzo, all of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles J. “Chuck” Barrett Jr.; a granddaughter, Amber Denise Barrett; three brothers, Angelo, Joe and Eatro; and three sisters, Flora, Margie and Theresa.

Family and friends may pay their respects 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church in Warren, with the Rev. Frantisek Katrinak officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in Rose’s name, to St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund, 232 Seneca St. NE, Warren, Ohio 44481.
