Donald G. Hall 1932-2018

WARREN — Donald Gene Hall, 85, of Warren, passed away early Tuesday morning, Aug. 14, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Leavittsburg, a son of James R. and Helen R. Manier Hall.

Don was employed as a factory worker for the former Packard Electric Corp. in Warren for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.

He married the former Margaret A. Alexander on March 19, 1955. They shared 63 years of marriage and many happy memories together. She survives him.

Don was a member of the Southington Christian Church and the former Southington American Legion. He was a longtime volunteer and coach with Little League Baseball for many years. He also loved working on his farm.

Besides his wife, Don is survived by three sons, Larry (Heidi) Hall of DeGraff, Dale (Lori) Hall of Lake Milton and Danny Hall of Warren; a brother, William R. (June) Hall of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Greg, Ryan, Missy, Heidi and Donnie; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, Don was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Bosley, and two brothers, Jerry and Marshall Hall.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Ave., Warren, with Pastor Dan Jolly officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Don will be laid to rest in the Southington Graham Cemetery, Southington Township.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512, in his memory.
