Mary Hubish 1928-2018

BROOKFIELD — Mary Hubish, 89, of Brookfield, entered eternal rest at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, following an extended illness.

Mary was born Dec. 5, 1928, at home in Farrell, Pa., a daughter to Joseph and Helen Ratatjaich Zdelar.

On Oct. 2, 1954, she married Anthony “Tony” Hubish and together they started a family. Born to this union were four children, John, Jim, Donna and Deborah.

She was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Vienna.

Mary enjoyed working on the farm, gardening, traveling and caring for her many beloved pets.

She is survived by her children, John Hubish of Youngstown, Jim Hubish (Kathie) of Brookfield, Donna Yassall of Warren and Deborah Chupak of Maryville, Tenn.; her sister, Pauline Yasnowski of Sharpsville, Pa.; her grandchildren, Jimmy Hubish, Ashley Yassall, Anthony Yassall, Andrew Yassall, Rebekah Chupak, Mary Ellen Chupak and John Andrew Chupak; and her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Tony, who died in 1976; and her brother, John Zdelar.

The Holy Rosary was prayed by the Rev. Denis Bouchard, FSSP, of the Queen of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, followed by a memorial service in honor of Mrs. Hubish on Friday, June 8, 2018 in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, 379 state Route 7 SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403, with the Rev. Julia Wike presiding.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
