Lena P. Fateley 1925-2018

NILES — Lena P. Fateley, 92, of Niles, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

She was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Niles, the daughter of Vittorio and Pauline Taranta Lorenzetti.

Lena was a 1943 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. A graduate of the Cleveland School of Electrolysis, she had a practice in Warren in the 1950s. Later, she was the credit manager of Youngstown’s Livingston’s and House of Fashion in Warren. She ended her career in credit at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Throughout her lifetime she was a busy volunteer and presided over several organizations. She loved playing bridge online with her sister, Anne.

A member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, she leaves to miss her, a daughter, Patricia Blanche of Brecksville; a grandson, Justin Blanche, and his wife, Laura of Seven Hills; her sisters, Mrs. Anne Macali and Mary Louise (Robert) Kosinski; and her dearly loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Fateley, and her son-in-law, Joseph Blanche.

A private Mass of Christian burial will be held for her family at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

In lieu of flowers, please drink a toast to the life of Lena. She would like that.
