Walter F. Ziegler III 1969-2018

WEATHERSFIELD — Walter F. “Bo” Ziegler III, 48, passed away peacefully at 7 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 25, 1969, in Warren, the son of Walter F. and Brenda Kay Sparks Ziegler Jr.

Bo was a 1987 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served in the United States Army as a helicoptor gunner during the Gulf War.

He was a fitter and welder at Plibrico Company in Salem.

He was an avid motorcyclist and baseball player. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and cherished the activities with his family and especially his children.

Bo is survived by his wife, Christina Lynn (Rowland) Ziegler, whom he married April 30, 1987; four children, Nicholas (Sandy) Ziegler of Niles, Justin Ziegler, Miss Taylor Ziegler and James Ziegler, all at home; father, Walter F. Ziegler Jr. of Niles; and three special friends and brothers, Jim and Shylow Peyatt and Donny “Mayhem” Kountz.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Kay Sparks Ziegler, who died Oct. 31, 2002; and a brother, Steven Ray Ziegler, who died July 11, 2000.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be at noon Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the funeral home, where family may also call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Thomas Ziegler will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. The Trumbull County Honor Guard will provide military honors.
