Thomas W. Woolf 1926-2018

WARREN — Thomas W. “Foxie” Woolf, 91, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at the emergency room of St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

He was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Trenton, N.J., the son of Clara Hellyer, and had lived in Ohio since 1963.

A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, Tom worked 34 years as a draftsman for Ajax Magnethermic. Tom was an avid reader, an avid golfer and an HO train enthusiast. He enjoyed watching the Buckeyes, Browns, Indians and horse racing.

Fond memories of Tom live on with his loving wife of 69 years, Virginia Ely Woolf; three children, Kenneth (Carol) of Newton Falls, Robert Sr. (Michelina) Woolf of Boardman and Susan McCumber of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; five grandchildren, Robert (Kimberly) Woolf Jr., Rachel and Richard and Lyndsey and Johnna; and five great-grandchildren, “My Baby” Hannah, Joselynn, Juliana, Christian and Luna.

Preceding him in death are his mother; a son, Richard Woolf; and a sister, Clara Bird.

Memorial services will 5 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
