Jacqueline G. Tuthill 1925-2018

HOWLAND — Jacqueline G. Tuthill, 93, of Howland, formerly of Liberty, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

Jacqueline was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Leicester, England, a daughter of William Leslie and Evelyn Hunt Moore.

During World War II, she attended nursing school at the Royal Infirmary in Leicester, England, and it was at that time she met her husband Louis in 1944 while he was stationed in England.

She was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Louis H. Tuthill, whom she married Sept. 27, 1945, passed away July 7, 2004.

She will be sadly missed by her family, her son John E. (Gina) Tuthill of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her daughters, Susan (Jeff) Strickland of Katy, Texas, and Karen Jo (Paul) Vaughn of Howland; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Ivor Moore.

There are no calling hours or services at this time.

Jacqueline will be laid to rest next to her husband in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
