John Fowler 1949-2018

HOWLAND — Husband, father and grandfather John “Alan” Fowler, 69, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 18, 1949, to Vivian and John Fowler of Warren. Alan was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and obtained an engineering degree at Youngstown State University.

Alan enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Jule. Alan was an avid bowler who also liked to spend his time skating and participating in various SCOPE activities. He attended Central Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jule Andrus Fowler of Warren; a daughter, Pam Dickens; a son, John (Lyndsay) Fowler; a brother, Bruce (Carol) Fowler; two sisters, Cathy (John) Gibson and Donna Fowler; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Marc Runyon will officiate. Friends may call 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
