Aaron B. Johnson 1973-2017

CHICAGO — Aaron Briston Johnson, 44, passed away at 4 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. His family was beside him to comfort his peaceful passing.

Aaron was born Oct. 30, 1973, in Warren. He grew up in Howland with his parents, Johnny and Mary Campbell Johnson and his sister, Jennifer. He graduated from Howland High School in 1991.

After graduation, he attended The Ohio State University and lived in Columbus for a few years. He then moved to Cleveland to work for Continental Airlines, before settling and making his home in Chicago.

Aaron worked as an accomplished chef after earning an associate degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.

He continued his education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University.

Aaron participated in numerous extracurricular activities in high school and particularly enjoyed competing with the speech and debate club. He enjoyed the travel and exploring new places during his time with Continental. As a chef, he expressed his creativity and affection for others with exceptional dishes for them to enjoy. He was looking forward to using his degree to teach his acquired knowledge to others.

Aaron was a kind and good-hearted man who lived by the golden rule and will be missed by his large family and many friends.

A celebration of his life will take place at an undetermined date.
