Theda M. Nocera

WARREN — Theda May “Tyke” Nocera, 91, of Warren, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

She was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Niles, Mich., a daughter of the late William James Green and the late Florence Pearl Champer.

On Feb. 3, 1947, she married James Nocera, and they spent the next the next 60 years happily married until his passing in 2008.

She attended Niles McKinley High School, and worked as a telephone operator at Sprint for 34 years.

“Tyke” was a member of St. William Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading and putting together puzzles.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Theda was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Nocera; brothers, Harvey Wesley Green, David Donivan Dick and Leonard Green; sisters, Eleanore Margarite Dick, Virginia Kloko and Mabel Gertrude Hittle; as well as her parents.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. John Lody will officiate. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 18, 2017, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
